Speed Trailers and Police Radar Detectors

Post by CopRadar on Tue Oct 17, 2006 9:46 pm

Yes, speed trailers can be detected by a police radar detector. However because the speed trailer radar points a microwave beam "across" the road at an angle (typically 20 to 22 degrees) instead of "down" the road (like stationary and moving police radar), radar detector detection range will be much shorter (compared to detecting police radars).

Can speed trailers be detected by a police radar detector?
