How is the SpeedTrac X Radar Gun Hands-Free Speed Gun for measuring the speed of a cricket ball as it comes out of the hand on a downward trajectory?
Im looking at this model as it is for working out on my own. Will it be accurate and comparable to the speeds shown on TV?
Thanks |

The SpeedTrac X will measure speed to an accuracy of plus or minus 1 mph. If the cricket ball is not traveling directly toward or away from the radar, a small error (measures speed low) is introduced. This error occurs with ALL speed measuring radars (the Cosine Effect Error).
The SpeedTrac X has a relatively wide beam (30 degrees horizontal by 40 degrees vertical) for easy set up. However you may still have to try several positions (closer or greater distance from radar) to get measurements (a speed reading) every time. For most situations 25 to 30 feet from the thrower should work.
I have not seen the TV spot, so I cannot comment. _________________ Best Regards,
